History
2016: Dispatch Center Kursky RDU updated
The branch of SO UES OJSC Regional Dispatch Management of Power Systems of the Kursk and Oryol Regions (Kursk RDU) transferred the operational dispatch management of electric power systems of the Kursk and Oryol Regions to a new dispatch center in the spring of 2016.
The transfer of the operational dispatch department was the final stage of the first stage of the reconstruction of the building at 68 Dzerzhinsky Street, which began in 2012 as part of the implementation of the territorial investment project of SO UES OJSC to create infrastructure and technologically re-equip the dispatch center of the Kursky RDU. Work as part of the second stage is scheduled to be completed by December 2016.
The territorial investment project, the purpose of which is to improve the reliability of operational dispatch management of the operating modes of the power systems of the Kursk and Oryol regions, includes the purchase of a finished building, its reconstruction and equipping with modern engineering, information and telecommunication systems to meet the requirements applied to the dispatch centers of the System Operator. From the moment of creation in 2003 until June 2016, dispatch control in the operating zone of the Kursky RDU was carried out from rented premises located in the building of the Branch of IDGC of Center PJSC - Kurskenergo. Conditions of dispatching center location did not meet the standards of System operator dispatching centers functioning.
The reconstructed building of the dispatch center combines advanced engineering and construction technologies and the latest technological achievements in the field of operational dispatch management. Management of the operating modes of the energy systems of the Kursk and Oryol regions from the new dispatch center will expand the observability of the current state of dispatching facilities, speed up the adoption of operational decisions by dispatchers, and achieve greater efficiency in planning and managing modes.
The dispatching center has a modern dispatching board based on twelve video projection cubes, which provides more volume, accuracy and efficiency of information on the state of the electric power facilities of the operating zone of the Kursky RDU. Dispatch communication is organized on the basis of fiber-optic lines that ensure high speed and reliability of data transmission. For continuous and reliable control of the power system in any emergency situations, the building provides uninterrupted guaranteed power supply from an autonomous power supply for process equipment, dispatch and process control means and an automated dispatch control system, including a dispatch panel. The building is equipped with an integrated facility safety system and a system for monitoring the functioning of engineering equipment.
The dispatching center of the Kursky RDU has a training center for personnel and a training class for holding seminars and practical trainings on advanced training of RDU specialists. The training center will become the basis for system-wide emergency training and exercises with the participation of dispatchers of the Kursky RDU and operational personnel of generating and network enterprises of the Kursk and Oryol regions.
The reconstructed five-story building, equipped with modern technological systems and equipment, will provide the necessary conditions for the further development of the infrastructure of the regional dispatch management in the operating zone of the Kursky RDU.
